Why your weekly “Better Every Day Scorecard” might not match what you actually watched
Every Sunday, your DarrenDaily Scorecard email reports how many episodes you watched that week.
This number is automatically generated through HubSpot’s page-view tracking system.
If your score doesn’t match what you remember watching, here are the most common reasons why:
1. Watched from a different device or browser
Each view is tracked using your HubSpot cookie, tied to the browser and device you used when you first subscribed.
If you watched on:
- A different browser (for example, Safari instead of Chrome)
- A mobile device or tablet instead of your computer
- A device where you recently cleared cookies or browsing history
HubSpot may not recognize you as the same subscriber, and that view will not be counted.
2. Watched in private or incognito mode
Private browsing disables HubSpot cookies and scripts.
If you open DarrenDaily links in incognito or private windows, those page views cannot be logged.
3. Closed the page before it finished loading
Tracking only occurs once the DarrenDaily page and HubSpot scripts have fully loaded.
If you clicked “Watch Now” but closed the tab too quickly—or if your internet connection interrupted loading—the view may not have been recorded.
4. Shared or forwarded email address
If more than one person uses or shares the same email address (or forwards the DarrenDaily email), HubSpot will treat all those page views as one contact.
This can lead to inflated or inaccurate counts.
5. Email or browser privacy settings block tracking
Some modern email and browser privacy features—such as Apple Mail Privacy Protection or browsers like Brave and DuckDuckGo—can block HubSpot tracking scripts.
If enabled, HubSpot cannot confirm that you visited the DarrenDaily page even if you did.
6. Watched outside the reporting window
The Sunday Scorecard captures data within a fixed cutoff time, typically through Friday night.
Any episodes you watch after that time will not be counted in your Sunday recap email.
7. Ad blockers, VPNs, or privacy extensions
Browser tools such as ad blockers, VPNs, or privacy extensions (like Ghostery or uBlock Origin) can prevent HubSpot’s tracking pixel from loading.
If the tracking script is blocked, your page view won’t be recorded.
To keep your weekly Scorecard as accurate as possible:
- Watch DarrenDaily directly from your own email link each morning.
- Use the same device and browser each time.
- Avoid incognito/private browsing.
- Allow the page to fully load before closing it.
- Disable ad blockers or tracking protection for the dd.darrenhardy.com domain.
